Nailed It! has always been a show I've loved to binge through, especially during the holidays. Nicole Byer and Jacques Torres are wonderful collaborators and their unlikely friendship makes the show all the more charming, more so with particular guests on board the train(wreck). Now after a hiatus, Nailed It! Is back in a new form. Instead of one short episode claiming a winner, this new “challenge” makes it so the same contestants stay throughout the season and by the close, a winner is crowned.

This change in direction for the latest season is a breath of fresh air for the series as it allows more time with the whacky cooks they manage to collect. Similar to the show Worst Cooks in America but baking edition, the series has a lot of fun potential going forward as even the losers win whatever they can get their hands on during their leave. 

 

The judges and hosts are as always hilarious and energetic, allowing the cheesy one-liners to fly. The cooks attempt to be funny but it ultimately comes down to how much the audience enjoys cringe humor in that category and in their final judgment. 

 

The deserts are beautiful to begin, then transformed into a monstrous Frankenstein desert that can only be compared to a cloning gone terribly wrong. Nicole Byer is this show and her relation with the aforementioned Jacques makes the show all the more entertaining to watch from series beginning to series finale.
