In 2012, Kerry Bellessa directed a found footage film titled Amber Alert.

 

Twelve years later he has remade the film and reimagined it as a brand new thriller without the found footage gimmick.

 

The film stars Hayden Panettiere and Tyler James Williams as a pair of strangers who find themselves in a game of cat and mouse with a driver who they believe has abducted a young girl.

In the interview, the two discuss the decision to remake the film, how it differs from the original and why it stands to be one of the most realistic thrillers in recent memory.
