OUR REVIEW:
I’m not necessarily a “car person”, so I'm not overloaded with car-related puns to offer to this review so therefore I wont. However, I was a Hot Wheels kid, and boy did this show misfire from the jump.
Allowing its contestants to reflect back on their childhood and then build cars based around vehicles from their own memories. It’s a neat idea, however the execution is dreadful and lacks any fun to be had.
Hosted by Floor is Lava’s Rutledge Wood, the show flops with its humor, hindered by its good intentions and feels unbelievably scripted for “reality”. It’s a competition show but the competition portion feels almost pointless, it would be a better idea to make the cars just toys versus actual vehicles.
This show was painful to get through and even the final results in the contestants' creations didn’t evoke much out of me; I will not be returning and instead if I have a itch for hot wheels I'll go find mine in my parent's garage (somewhere).
