GAME NIGHT SYNOPSIS:
A group of friends who meet regularly for game nights find themselves entangled in a real-life mystery when the shady brother of one of them is seemingly kidnapped by dangerous gangsters.
This is not a game.
Game Night is a comedy classic that deserves more recognition and with the latest upgrade to 4K for the title, things are looking up.
Jason Bateman, Rachel McAdams and the entire ensemble are phenomenal together - truly tackling the authentic nature of a group of friends. This film led myself and I’m sure others to fully recognize Jesse Plemons as a household name, especially in relation to how things can be profitable for Frito-Lay. Not to mention introducing us to the face that would pop up in such titles as Aladdin (2019), Reunion and Road House (2024), Billy Magnussen.
Rewatching Game Night was just like the experience of seeing it in the theaters. It’s a phenomenal comedy with tremendous comedic performances with numerous standouts, the biggest being Plemons’ sociopathic Gary. This is a comedy that deserves it’s endless applause, with a phenomenal ensemble and a terrific script that is undeniably underappreciated to this day.
