Synapse Films has released a really great looking B-Movie that has been greatly improved over the previous release on DVD in 2002. It’s a film about a killer croc, it’s practical effects and in that, the visual limitations from ‘79 were noticeable. However, though they are noticeable, they serve as a distinct charm to the film’s horror aesthetic. At only 92 minutes, the film is a cheesy bloodbath and Synapse has brought with its latest upgrade some killer bonus features:

  • Audio Commentary with writer and film historian Lee Gambin

  • Video Interview with original Crocodile Fangs director, Wan-se Lee

  • Original Theatrical Trailer

  • Deleted and Alternate Scenes

This blu-ray release is the world premiere on the format for the U.S. release version, meticulously restored from the original English 35mm camera negative. The release’s audio does falter with a slight distortion due to the transfer. The sound is heightened and enhanced to the extreme to compensate, while not destroying the integrity of the film - the visuals mean more in the brutality of it all.
